US Open Cup bans Salt Bae after his annoying FIFA World Cup 2022 antics


After his annoying antics in the World Cup, Salt Bay is banned from the US Open Cup.

Viral celebrity chef Salt Bay, Nusrat Gökçe has successfully managed to get banned from America’s oldest and most prestigious football tournament.

“Salt Bay is banned from the 2023 @opencup finals,” the US Open Cup wrote on Twitter.

As Argentina players were celebrating after their victory in the FIFA World Cup 2022 final against France in Doha, Salt Bae somehow managed to reach the pitch and approached Lionel Messi, for a quick picture.

He patted Messi on the shoulder to take the picture. However, Messi shrugged his shoulders as soon as he found out who had tapped him.

The Turkish Salt Sprinklers also posed with members of the squad including Angel Di Maria, Leandro Paredes, Nicolas Otamendi, Paulo Dybala, Alexis McAllister and many more.

In addition, he also touched the 18-karat gold World Cup trophy, which is estimated to be worth £17.7 million ($21.3m).

According to FIFA rules, only a ‘chosen’ can touch the trophy, including former winners and heads of state, who are admissible.
