Watch: Keylor Navas punches Cristiano Ronaldo in face, bruised CR7 scores immediately after

Cristiano Ronaldo was hit hard on the side of the face by Keylor Navas, which left him with a major blow. After moving to Saudi Arabia he received a bruised swab from his first game as an unwanted memento.

In a friendly against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in Riyadh, CR7 started for the Saudi All-Star XI while long-time rival Lionel Messi lined up for the Ligue 1 powerhouse. A reckless challenge resulted in a penalty to Al-Nassr, which was headed into the top right corner by Cristiano Ronaldo. However, CR7 also enjoyed showing French World Cup star Kylian Mbappe the lump on his face before two cracked jokes in the center circle.

Mbappe gave him a smile that appeared to indicate, “You’ll be fine,” and Ronaldo raised his hand triumphantly like a heavyweight champion.

Messi scored the first goal of the game barely three minutes into the match, but when the Saudis pressed for an equaliser, they turned to Ronaldo’s famous heading skills. However, he did not expect to be hit by his old Real Madrid teammate Keylor Navas when trying to punch the ball cleanly. The Saudi team was given a penalty.

Ronaldo fell to the ground to avoid serious injury. He groaned uncomfortably as he hit a cheekbone, but calmed himself before Messi converted the spot-kick for his first goal against PSG in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo scored his second goal at the end of the first half, blasting in the rebound after his header was turned against the post, and by then his cheekbones looked like red apples. Ronaldo beamed with joy, sticking out his tongue, and was surrounded by teammates near the corner flag.
